In just days, the leaders of the thirteen most powerful, most polluting countries on earth are meeting in Germany for the G8+5 summit. Climate change is at the top of the agenda--partly because so many of us fought to get it there. But at the last minute, the US government is flatly refusing any serious action against global warming.
Bush and his aides know the tide has turned against them, so they're making a last-ditch play to stop the world. We can't let them succeed. All 13 leaders need to hear inaction is not an option but to get that message through we have to build the biggest global climate change petition in history before June 8. Add your voice and sign now before it's too late: http://www.avaaz.org/en/climate_g8 /h.p |

Help Green Greenfield and Cut Global Warming! Pledge today, and your investment will be DOUBLED AND you will help Greenfield get a FREE solar panel for a Greenfield School! How it works: If you make a tax deductible pledge to New England Wind Fund before April 30, 2007:
1) You $$ will Help Build a Wind Turbine in New England: Your tax-deductible donation will enable the New England Wind Fund to build a wind turbine in New England and increase clean renewable energy available to you. 2) Green Greenfield: The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) will match your donation dollar for dollar so that Greenfield can develop a plan to reduce its energy use and global warming emissions. 3) Solar Panel for a Greenfield School: If 150 people sign up by April 30, MTC will install a solar panel on a school in Greenfield. (To be counted as one of the 150 people, you must pledge $5/month or more and maintain your pledge for at least one year or make a one-time donation of at least $100.) 4) Green Energy for Low Income: The Massachusetts Technology collaborative (MTC) will also match your donation and put it into a program that will fund energy projects for low income people in MA. How You Can Pledge:
You can make a tax-deductible monthly pledge of $5/month or more or make a 25 or more one-time donation. You may cancel your monthly donation pledge at any time without financial penalty by contacting Mass Energy, administrator of the New England Wind Fund. • Online: Go to www.NewEnglandWind.org, and hit the yellow “Join Now” button, and fill in the form. • Call: 800-287-3950 and tell them you want to make a pledge to the New England Wind Fund Receipt: You will receive a beautiful thank you card from Mass Energy for your records that documents your donation and the matching funds to Greenfield and the low income fund Greening Greenfield is a collaborative project of the Town of Greenfield and the Greenfield Energy Committee. |
